Awesome jungle experience at reasonable cost The experience starts from the time you enter the estate gate and then enter into their jeep after parking your car. They pick you in the jeep and you can see a waterfall on the way to the resort. On day 1, we reached at around 3 pm due to huge queue at TN checkpost and the lunch was ready separately kept for us. After lunch we went to the stream which is just below the resort. Then on day 2, they took us to a waterfall after a 2 hr trek and while coming back it was a shorter route of around 20 mins. We don't get network inside the room and there's no TV as well - so we get to spend some quality time with family. We do get the network outside the room for any emergency calls. Overall experience and food was awesome but just take your own towels and soaps etc.

On 22nd & 23rd Dec, we were in Secret Valley resort with 23 Members (including all Naughty kids), Mr.Ganesh (Proprietor of Secret Valley) warm welcome us and provided a great hospitality for the 3 days. I would say this is one my best holidays stay so far, excellent place, very fresh & greenery, especially jungle safari was the thrill experience and great trekking experience in the falls. Food is awesome, imagine 23 members asking him to prepare the variety of foods, he immediately accepted without any hesitation and provided a great quality and hygienic food. Been there last week on a weekend getaway. The drive through bandipur to reach the resort was awesome with wild animals sighting. Once you reach they take you to near by stream which is private to the property and in the night you have a bon fire and dinner was served. The dinner had both veg and non veg if needed. Hospitality of the resort is really in par and they took care nicely for the waterfall trip. Overall if you need a weekend relaxation and getaway form the city life for a weekend, this is a perfect location.

Best Place to experience the forest, Its a jungle resort/stay inside a deep forest 10km away from ooty and 15 from Masinagudi. Climate is cool, rooms are clean , food is tasty and hygenic, service is superb. All the hotel staffs are very frindly and give their best service to experience a wonder stay at the resort, the resort has a waterfall inside, hotel staffs takes their guest to the waterfall and forest trek, night safari and bonfire is there with extra charges. During our stay we could see elephant, bison and deer inside the property, Many varieties of birds can be seen inside. One of the best jungle experience we had in Secret Valley resort. This resort is in deep jungles of masingudi, reaching by own vehicle is good, however you get bus from ooty till kalhatti forest check post, get down at check post, you get pick up and drop in jeep from there to resort for free, vice versa. If you wish to get pick up from ooty town it will be charged rs. 1000. Taking own vehicle from main road till resort it very difficult as it has stone roads. You reach the resort and they provide the rooms as per booking 1. simple cottage, closed rooms. 2. river view 3. mountain view If you are booking from their official website they charge rs. 7000 per person including trek, stay, food, night safari. compare the price in other website so that it will be cheaper though safari and trek will be charged extra in that case as below: Night safari-per jeep ride rs. 4000 river bathing(includes trekking till there)-per person rs. 300 The standard check in is at 12 PM and check out at 11 AM, the next day. They agree for early check in of you let them know before arrival. The basic towel, soaps were missing in room, so please carry on safer side. It is very cold inside the room during winters so carry warm clothes. They have 380 acres of forest land so spoting the wild animals is very often, they provide walky talky to come out of room(which are little far). Food is ok, dinner was good but starters lack, they provide 3 times, any specification will be included. The rooms are clean, finding insects is common but they come and throw it out. They take you to river stream to take bath which will be chilling and a good experience. Night safari cannot be explained in words so do enjoy it. Fire camp arranged on demand. The things lacking here is hot water which will make you wait for too long and if you many people, after every person take bath, next one dont get hot water. archery, shuttle, carrom games are provided though they are not in good condition, they wer worn out. overall I would recommend for a stay in between jungles and enjoy the beauty. Resort was ok and rooms were not very good. Food is not at all good. We have parked the vehicles near the main road( parking place is safe) then we were transported by the jeep to this rooms. It takes 5 minutes drive. 3 stars given for the location of the resort and the private waterfall nearby. Yes, they have a private waterfall which is accessible by only these resort guys. It is 10 min walk to this waterfall and the path feels like dangerous because u go inside the jungle. We have enjoyed there for 1 hour and returned back before it became dark. Two types of rooms are there and for the group of 7 people we have paid Rs.2750/- per person for normal room. Other room they were charging Rs.3000/- per person. But we felt normal room is good because it is near to the common area. Other rooms are very lonely and bit far from the common area. Trekking was good. You can go in the morning. They offer jeep safari in the night for Rs.1000/- which we felt not worth because you hardly see some animals.

The resort is a valley actually. Looks great. Good ambience and a peaceful place to spend your vacation with family or friends . The only inconvenience is there is no network at all. But really people who like to live a mobile free life can choose this place . The resort manager VISHAK bro is an excellent person and a great cook too. Must try his mutton briyani and pongal sambhar. The assistance who take care of us and cooking are genuine. To say in total worthy place with atmost peace of mind. Loved it.
